At long last a new version of Jupitelite has arrived! I have been working hard this summer with my teammates to create a brand new Level 1. You can check it out by going to the Jupitelite project page and clicking Play. Currently, no sound plays when run in Internet Explorer but functions normally otherwise. It's working with Google Chrome and I'm currently checking to see if there is any difference with Firefox. Update: It is also working with Firefox. Any feedback you might have can be posted in the comments section below. Update notesIntroducing a brand new Level 1. It's the only level in this update but a very important one as it sets the foundation for the rest of the game.
Future plans
ReflectionThis update has been in the works since the Global Game Jam ended, with extensive planning and art asset creation. Though programming is not my forte, I took it upon myself to learn our game making program, Construct 2, and get the new level underway. It wasn't easy for me, but day by day I managed to get more and more done, to make a very long story of debugging short. I'm very proud of my patrolling robot, who stopped walking through walls and sometimes wouldn't die.
I'm still a little iffy on sound effects. Spending a week figuring out what a blue alien eating a battery sounds like drove me crazy Once I regain my senses I might go back and find new sounds. (By the way, the program I used was Bfxr.) As I said before, I am very happy with this update. There are still some minor tweaks that need to be taken care of but nothing game changing. Though, I guess that is technically changing the game... Comments are closed.
